Winter woollies

April 14, 2011

Just in time for the cold snap. Shame the sliding doors aren't on yet - it was FREEZING at the house.

Quack quack.

Guess which room this is?

Mmmm...ducted vac.

All stacked up and ready for the laying.

Apparently they're going to do a good job?????????

Blame it on the rain that was falling, falling, blame it on the stars that didn't shine......

We need the rain to stop now so that Reinseys bricks can be laid and mine & Tashs site scrape can happen!!!!!!!

Looks cosy in your house like a blanket is keeping it warm!

Looking good... can you give me a rough guestimate of how much extra all the media room wiring set you back?

Looking good there Reinsey.

I notice you guys have the same ducted vac as us (took me a while to notice all the outlets in our place) and you're much further ahead with your smart wiring. I'm kinda wondering how they'll do ours with the walls up.

It was lovely and warm in our house, even with the doors and wondows open :) :), but then we're in the tropical paradise by the sea ;)

Ooh the ducted vac. Bet you can't wait to use that! Wish I had of thought of the ducted vac.
The brickies should be done this time next week.Hold off rain.

Thanks Janine... all day long I've been singing "blame it on the rain". I'm gunna have to send the boys from work to counseling to remove it from their heads too!

Ads, the HMDI for projector, ceiling power point & Cat 6 cable was about $300 with the rest of the 5.1 surround cables + sub, including ceiling rear speakers was about $900. Considering the relationship Loz has with his TV, I reckon this is a pretty good investment!!

Hey there AlexandH,
Did they forget to do your pre-wire???? Hope they don't need to rip your plaster down to re-do. Might help us catch up to you though!!! :)

Sandrine, I'm DYING to get down there and check it out. No idea at the moment whether we've got bricks or not. Have to wait until Sunday though...arrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!

Hi Reinsey, I'm not real worried about the gyprock coming off - after all, they have lots of spare sheets lying around in the kitchen/meals area ;)

Be interesting to see if we have the wiring done when I look again tomorrow :) - after all, what could possibly go wrong?

Seriously though, our SS has been great so I don't think he'd slip up on that minor detail.

Maybe they'll even have finished bricking on the Carlisle build next door (Metro 51 I think) and started on ours - woohooo!!

Cozy for winter Reinsey. LOVE my ducted vac - so missed at Luke's house.

Sunshine today - possibly bricks? Should be full into laying next week.

We had bobcat spinning wheels at our place yesterday in the rain and MUD preparing for driveway etc. Had to be done as aggregate booked for Monday/Tuesday.

Also, no HEATER....worked for a couple of days and then wouldn't fire up. Mr. Brivis this morning - heater would fire and shutdown - classed as DOA = new motherboard fitted and warm again!!
