Back yard sneak peek

January 17, 2012

Long time no post!

We've been doing all kinds of fun things, but mostly just enjoying our new lives in this gorgeous home, oh + getting fit & healthy while recovering from stupid back surgery (more on this in a future post I think).

Our landscaper, Andy, who did such a brilliant job on the front has come back (under his own business name Eskape, as the previous company went bust 3 days pre-Christmas) and is turning our formerly flat, weedy, wet, yuk back yard into something we've already fallen in love with.

Here's a quick snap;

Fingers crossed the turf and planting will be done by Friday..YAY!!!

If any fellow Avenuers (or anywhere nearby actually) are looking for a landscaper - I give Andy two thumbs up.

Looking ab fab, we will have to have deck-warming parties soon. It will be so good to have all that dust and dirt minimised too, can't wait for that to happen. Will pop by on the weekend to check it out!

Yes we did Tash. Stupidly we did most of it by brush until Deb hinted that perhaps a roller might be quicker. She was right!!

I'm good thanks 'R' - new foot? I'm hobbling around. Medal to you for keeping sane all those weeks? Look forward to the visit.

Re fence Tash - agree, I stained a small front section with a brush and nearly killed me.

John has done rear fence tops and cutting in with brush; intends spraying remainder.

Thnaks Reinsey and Deb it took me 4hours to stain that front 2 sections of the fence with a paint brush :/ Do you think i could use a roller with stain??

Sorry to hear about your foot Deb, hope it start to get better soon :)

I hear you re the stain on the fence Tash - it was hard work soaking it up with a brush. I only had a small tin of stain but I'm sure a roller would work fine if you have plenty of the stain.

Reinsey's fence painted with the roller came up a treat.
